For each new day

Morning’s light renewed

Its vows to life

My heart renewed

Its vows of love

As each rainbow arch

A promise and oath

A marriage of colour

Consummation of light

Casting darkness aside

To its shadow and night

Kept in its place of shade

By love’s gleaming lustre.
