On Silent Wings

A moment’s silence

For all that have passed

Mindful reflections

Sadness and regret

Joy and happiness

Yet, the future too

Equally deserving

A moment’s silence

For all things as yet

And about to

Mindful pauses

Before we irrevocably

Stain history’s page

But a mere moment

Presence of mind

Silent as an owl in flight

For our deliverance’s sake.
